Terms of Use

Option to Pass ("we", "us") is an online practice tool for the Singapore Real Estate Salesperson (RES) exam. By creating an account or buying access, you agree to these terms.

1. What you get

• Free trial: one chapter at all three levels, with no account needed.
• Full access: a one-time payment of S$49 gives you every chapter, level and mock exam for 365 days from the date of payment. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
• Beta keys: we may give free access codes to testers. They last for the period stated when issued and we may end them at any time.

2. Your account

• You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email. Keep your email account secure; anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
• Access is for one person. An account can be used on one device at a time, and can move to a new device up to 5 times in 30 days. If you change phones and reach this limit, email us and we will reset it.
• Do not share, resell or lend your account, and do not copy, scrape or republish the questions. We may suspend or close accounts that do, without a refund.

3. About the content

• Option to Pass is an independent revision aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) or any exam or course provider, and our questions are not official exam questions.
• We write questions to the rules in force at the date shown in the app and update them when rules change, but we cannot promise the content is complete, current or error-free. It is for exam practice only and is not legal, financial or property advice. Always check current official sources before advising anyone.
• Using Option to Pass does not guarantee that you will pass the RES exam.
• All questions, explanations, case studies and design are our copyright. Your access lets you use them for your own study only.

4. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service running smoothly but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We may improve, change or remove features and content. If we ever have to stop the service entirely while your paid access is still running, we will refund the unused days on a pro-rata basis.

5. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Singapore consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.

6. General

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use Option to Pass means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.

Privacy Notice

We collect as little personal data as we need to run Option to Pass, and handle it in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

What we collect

• Your email address, to create your account and send sign-in codes.
• Your practice progress: test results, answers, XP, medals and your Mistakes deck, so it is saved to your account and follows you between devices.
• Sign-in details: the browser and device type (for example "Chrome on Android") and the time of each sign-in, to apply the one-device rule and spot account sharing.
• Payment records: the email used, amount, date and payment reference from our payment provider. We never see or store your card or bank details.
• Emails you send us, to answer your questions.
• Feedback you send from the app, with your email if you are signed in or choose to give it, so we can improve and reply.
• Question reports you send from the app, with your email if you are signed in, so we can fix the question and reply if needed.
• Visit statistics: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page visits without cookies and without identifying you.

If you use the free trial without signing in, your progress is stored only in your own browser and we do not receive it.

Who helps us run the service

We use trusted providers who process data for us: Supabase (accounts and database, hosted in Singapore), Resend (sending sign-in emails), Stripe (payments), and Cloudflare (website hosting, cookie-free visit statistics and email forwarding). Fonts and the sign-in library are loaded from Google Fonts and jsDelivr, which see your IP address when you visit. Some of these providers may process data outside Singapore, with protection comparable to the PDPA.

What we don't do

We do not sell your data, show ads, or use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and progress while your account is open and for up to 12 months after your access ends, so you can pick up where you left off if you come back. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires for tax and accounting.

Your choices

You can ask to see or correct your data, or ask us to delete your account, by emailing support@optiontopass.sg. This address also reaches our data protection contact.

Refund Policy

• 7-day refund: if Option to Pass isn't right for you, email us within 7 days of payment and we will refund you in full, as long as you have completed no more than 2 tests in the paid chapters since paying. Tests in the free chapter don't count.
• Charged twice or by mistake: we will refund the extra charge.
• Something doesn't work: tell us first and we will try to fix it. If we can't, we will refund you in full within the first 7 days, or pro rata for the unused days after that.
• How: email support@optiontopass.sg from the email you signed up with. Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually arrive within 5 to 10 business days. Your full access ends when the refund is made.

Outside these cases, payments are non-refundable because full access starts immediately. This does not affect your rights under Singapore law.
